Don't Skimp on the Lid — A Custom Solution Worth the Investment

I recently ordered a custom Kraken Reef lid for my UNS 30C, and it is worth every penny. The build is made of sturdy, premium acrylic and feels noticeably thicker and higher quality than the stock glass lids UNS produces.

Functionally, it checks every box: the flush fit securely keeps livestock inside, provides excellent breathability for proper gas exchange and floating plants, and keeps stray floating dog hair out of the water column. The ordering process was simple, and the customization ensured it fit my exact setup seamlessly.

While the price tag is higher than off-the-shelf alternatives, the quality completely justifies the cost. You aren’t paying for a generic stock lid—you’re getting a high-end, tailored component. Great top for my Hello Reef 15 Gallon Tank

I was led to Kraken tops by my brother, who has purchased their aquarium tops in the past. I had a question about adapting an automatic feeder to the top prior to my decision to place the order and I believe they replied to me in less than 10 minutes, leading me to place my order very shortly thereafter. And my top came more quickly than the quoted time on the order. The quality is terrific, it fits perfectly, and looks great. They are not a cheap top but well worth the money!

Superb Quality

Superb Quality, Outstanding service

It was a big investment for my JBJ RF-65 gallon tank and out of my budget but the value created far exceeded the dollar spent.
At first, I thought what’s the difference between this lid and the 20 dollar magnetic lid off amazon, but when I researched and it arrived I was very surprised and happy with the difference and glad I made the choice. The lid is THICK but not heavy, the mesh is thoughtfully attached, and the fitting works perfect.

I also found out my tank had a factory issue where the back chamber of the AIO was being warped by the force of water. I reached out to customer service, and after they inspected the photo and videos I sent them, they offered to create a custom offset for the AIO. They designed it and shipped it to me on their dime and the fit is perfect even though they only looked at pictures to estimate the offset.

I hope these guys are still around when I upgrade my tank to a 180 gallon.

Perfect For My 40G Breeder!!!

I have an innovative marine NUVO Fusion Pro 2- 40L aquarium that came with a net lid. The lid was fine but i have a large, alarmingly curious cat who I had visions of finding in my fish tank. The Kraken lid is noticeably sturdier and inspires more confidence. I ordered feeding holes on either side of the tank and use them both daily. The lids are easy to remove and replace for cleaning and look fantastic. Five star addition to the tank.

First time buyer of a Kraken Lid. This lid is well constructed, and arrived to my doorstep faster than i had expected even with it being a custom order. I am definitely a fan of Kraken and will be buying Kraken lids in the future.

Elevated my tank’s vibe

Elevated my tank’s vibe like no other! I have a beautiful rimless marine tank and could never find the right solution for a lid that wouldn’t wreck the aesthetic but was still functional. I’m SO happy I finally pulled the trigger on a Kraken lid, it fits like a glove and matches seamlessly with the minimalist look I’m going for! 10/10 recommend

Fits like a glove

Very precise lid for my Mariner M180. Fits perfectly. Came sooner than I expected. If I have one criticism, it is that the edges are pretty sharp, but a light sanding took care of that.

Perfect fit & finish!

Perfect fit finish, and communication! I ordered my lid, and provided my rudimentary and simple sketch. I was quickly contacted with great questions from the design team about details I didn’t even think of- being walked through making sure everything would be perfect in a few emails. Wow. Better than I had imagined

I ordered the basic lids for my Fluval 13.5 Evo and IceCap 10 gallon. They fit perfectly and look beautiful with the light illuminating the edge. It looks so good that I’ll be ordering another one for my Red Sea G2 Max XL.
